Product Description:

The Hughes 1177 HO3 Series of amplifier were designed for communications and ECM applications. The series consists of three broadband instrumentation amplifiers providing coverage in the frequency range of 3.7 to 16.3 GHz. With a midband gain and power output in excess of 50 dB and 10 watts respectively, the amplifiers provide several watts of output power at the band edges.

Each amplifier features a solid-state power converter and metal-ceramic output traveling wave tube similar in design to the tubes used in the Hughes communication satellites. They are completely protected, both thermally and electrically, with an internal air cooling system operating from 115 volts, 50/60 Hz, single phase power.

These amplifiers weigh only 24 pounds, making them particularly suited for transportation to remote sites. They can be mounted in a 19-inch relay rack with a panel height of 3-1/2 inches and a maximum depth of 20 inches.
